Terms of Service

Effective 28 August 2026

Short version: you bought a Mac app, you can use it, it comes as-is, and YouTube's own rules still apply when you watch YouTube through it.

These terms cover HumbleWatch (formerly LiveWatch), a macOS menu bar app made by Team Humble / humbleha.us ("we", "us"). Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you don't, don't use the app.

Your licence

Buying HumbleWatch gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Macs you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. It's a licence, not a sale of the software itself — we keep ownership of the code.

You may not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, or share your licence key publicly. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the app except where the law says you can regardless of what we write here.

What the app does

HumbleWatch watches YouTube channels you choose to follow, tells you when they go live or post something new, and plays them in a floating picture-in-picture window using YouTube's own player. We don't host, mirror, download or re-serve any video. Everything you watch comes from YouTube.

YouTube's terms apply

When you use HumbleWatch to watch YouTube, you are still using YouTube, and the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy apply to that. If you supply your own YouTube Data API key, the YouTube API Services Terms of Service apply to your use of that key too. Keeping to those is your responsibility as well as ours.

We are not affiliated with YouTube or Google. HumbleWatch is an independent app. YouTube and Google are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe what the app talks to.

Things you shouldn't do with it

No warranty

HumbleWatch is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will keep working if YouTube changes how their site behaves. It relies on a service we don't control and can break without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for your licence. Nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which these terms don't affect.

Payment and refunds

HumbleWatch is sold through Gumroad, who handle payment, receipts and refunds. Refunds are governed by the Gumroad refund policy shown on the product page at the time of purchase, plus any statutory refund rights you have. Get in touch first if something's wrong — most problems are quicker to fix than to refund.

Updates and changes

We may release updates that change, add or remove features. We may also update these terms; the effective date at the top will change, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version. We'll keep older versions available on request.

Ending the licence

You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. Your licence ends automatically if you materially breach these terms. You can remove everything the app stored by deleting ~/Library/Application Support/LiveWatch.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, and the courts of New Jersey have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
